The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
